Our Wedding

It all began on a quiet autumn evening in Savannah, Georgia — though, in hindsight, nothing about that night was truly ordinary. Taylor, having just moved into a new home across from the new Thompson Hotel in the Savannah Wharf, was invited to attend an art gallery at the hotel.Michele — who also goes by Johanna or Hanna among family and close friends — had also been invited to the gallery along with her coworkers, though, in a humorous turn of events, her coworkers never showed. Alone but curious, she explored the art, unaware that fate had something far more memorable in store for her. As she enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar, Taylor’s and her gaze met, and he felt compelled to introduce himself. What began as a simple greeting unfolded into hours of conversation — about values, life and dreams. There was an unmistakable ease between them, a spark that felt both effortless and electric. It felt less like meeting for the first time, and more like rediscovering someone long known. Before parting ways that evening, Taylor asked her to join him for dinner the following week. She said yes.From that moment on, everything felt beautifully aligned. Together, they explored Savannah’s cobblestone streets under the Spanish moss and southern starlit skies, always laughing, always talking.In the months that followed, their story unfolded like a favorite novel — filled with European travels, country concerts, sunset golf rounds, beach walks, and quiet moments that felt infinite. To her, Taylor is so much more than her partner — he is the calm in her storm, the warmth in her day and the one who never fails to make her feel safe, seen, and cherished.&nbsp;With his thoughtfulness, wit, and steadfast devotion, he has become the love of her life and a valuable source of trust for Cayden. And in his eyes,&nbsp;Michele is simply luminous — strong, graceful, and unlike anyone he had ever met. In her, he sees a woman whose kindness is effortless and whose presence inspires him — to grow, to lead with his heart, and to be the best version of himself, each and every day. In February, Taylor planned a weekend escape to The Cloister at Sea Island — a place as romantic as the moment he envisioned. With Cayden secretly in on the surprise, every detail was arranged with perfection. After a serene day of golf, he suggested a short walk before their dinner reservation. The courtyard had fallen still and the sunlight broke through the clouds. And there, on the steps of the grand stone terrace, he went down on one knee and asked her to marry him.Through tears of joy, she said yes — and a hidden photographer, waiting nearby, captured it all. Now, they look forward to celebrating their love surrounded by family, friends, and all the beautiful moments that brought them here.
